Job summary

Bell Textron Inc. in Grand Prairie, TX is seeking a Metallic Materials Lab Technician for the third shift (11:00 PM–8:00 AM) to support the development and testing of flight-critical gear and components.

You will work with engineers to prepare metallurgical mounts, run analyses, and report results. The role requires an Associate’s degree or equivalent with lab experience, strong technical writing, and the ability to lift 25 pounds.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent plus 1 year lab experience.
• Must be able to work 3rd shift 11:00 PM–8:00 AM, Monday–Friday.
• Demonstrated technical writing and mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Sectioning metallic components and preparing metallurgical mounts.
• Operating lab equipment (hardness testers, spectrograph, XRF, GPA, tensile testing, microscopes).
• Operating prep equipment (EDM, band saws, grinders, polisher).
• Performing temperature surveys and pyrometry tasks.
• Generating technical lab reports and data analysis.
