Job summary

Earle-M.-Jorgensen-Company is seeking a Warehouse Material Handler 1 to support plant operations in Kent, WA. You will pull, fill, and cut orders, handle inventory, and assist in shipping tasks while operating basic equipment and maintaining a safe warehouse.

This non-exempt role requires 1–2 years of warehousing experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver's license preferred. Union benefits and a 401(k) plan are offered.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of warehousing or material handling experience.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid Driver's License preferred.
• Experience in warehousing or material handling is preferred.
• Ability to obtain certification to operate motorized material handling equipment.
• Clear oral and written communication; legible handwriting.
• Manual dexterity and physical fitness to operate heavy equipment.
• Ability to read and comprehend work instructions and blueprints.
• Basic math and measurement skills, including fractions and conversions.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, multi-task effectively, and work with teams.

Responsibilities

• Move inventory and equipment; fill customer orders and pull material from racks.
• Receive and return items into stock locations and verify material.
• Read and decipher work orders; verify heat numbers and material specs.
• Operate cranes, forklifts, side loaders, yard trucks, saws, and other heavy equipment.
• Place materials into storage or remove them for order fulfillment.
• Tag material for identification and complete documentation.
• Sort and place materials by size, type, or product code.
• Coordinate with team for safe and efficient operations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Perform spot checks on inventory and restock materials as needed.
• Drive company vehicle for local deliveries and parts pick-up (non-DOT).
