Job summary

The Earle M. Jorgensen Company in Caldwell, Idaho is seeking a Warehouse Material Handler 1 to perform order fulfillment, material verification, and inventory tasks in a metal distribution setting.

This role requires basic equipment operation and attention to safety in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Responsibilities include pulling and packing orders, reading job orders, and coordinating with the Plant Operations team to maintain accurate stock levels and timely shipping.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years warehousing or material handling experience.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders and blueprints.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment and obtain certification.
• Clear oral and written communication; legible handwriting.
• Teamwork and collaboration with supervisors and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Move inventory, fill orders, pull material, unload and load trucks.
• Receive and return items into stock locations.
• Read and decipher work orders; verify heat numbers and material specifications.
• Operate cranes, forklifts, side loaders, yard trucks, saws, and other heavy equipment as required.
• Drive local deliveries (non-DOT).
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
