Job summary

Reliance, Inc. seeks a Warehouse Material Handler for the 1st shift at the Earle M. Jorgensen facility. You will pull, fill, and cut orders, manage inventory and shipping tasks, and operate basic equipment. The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and teamwork in a metals distribution environment.

Responsibilities include reading work orders, verifying materials, and coordinating with the team to ensure smooth operations. Prior warehousing experience is preferred; a valid driver’s license is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of warehousing or material handling experience.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to obtain certification to operate motorized equipment.
• Clear oral and written communication; basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Move inventory, pull orders, and unload/load material and shipments.
• Receive/return items to stock locations and verify specifications.
• Operate cranes, forklifts, side loaders and other equipment as required.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work area; restock materials as needed.
• Read work orders, verify heat numbers and material specs.
