Job summary

Mission Critical Group (MCG) is seeking an entry-level Fabricator to assist in the fabrication and assembly of custom switchgear structures. The role involves handling raw materials, operating metal shop machinery, and performing welds for coating preparation.

The position requires blueprint reading, use of hand and small power tools, and adherence to safety standards. Occasional travel for service or installation may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years in general mechanical or metalworking or related field.
• Experience using hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Valid driver’s license for service-related positions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with handling of raw steel and copper.
• Operate metal shop machinery including punch, brake, shear and saws.
• Weld sheet metal and prep for coating.
• Assemble metalwork and handle sheet metal products.
• Proficient use of hand tools and power tools.
• Fabrication including saw cutting and drilling.
• May cross-train to support other sections of the company.
• Conducts background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description

Assistin fabrication and assembly of custom Switchgear structures of varying size and scope to meet client and product specs and prepare the same for shipment. Good understanding of machinery safety. Usehand and small power tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, drills asrequired. Must be able to read and understand blueprints. Infrequent travel may berequiredfor install/service.

Shifts:

Monday to Thursday

6:00am or 7:00am

4:30pm 0r 5:30pm

• Be proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools.
• Fabrication, including saw cutting and drilling.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license (for service-related positions).
• Satisfactory completion ofadditionalbackground screening (if applicable).
• Ability to readblue prints.
• Follow verbal directions to meetproductionschedule.
• Ability to use ruler, scale, tape measure, calipers
• Possess basic tools including gear wrenches, impact gun, torque wrenches,metric& standard sockets.
• High dedication toquality ofresults to avoid rework.
• Ability to work under pressure/ timeconstraints.
• Able to work with minimal direction and achieveobjectives.

Additional Skills for consideration:

• Welding certification.
• Forklift experience and/or certification.
• Carpentry skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to bend, stoop, reach and lift materials as required.
• Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination
• Visual acuity to read blueprints, read measurements and inspect parts
• The job can be physically demanding, requiring standing for extended periods and potentially lifting and moving heavy materials (up to 50lbs).
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to loud noise, dust, and temperature variations (with appropriate PPE provided).
• Must be able to access and navigate each department at the assigned facilities.
