Job summary

Taylor Metal Products in Oregon is seeking a detail-oriented Metal Roofing Estimator. The role focuses on converting architectural data into 3D roof models using AppliCad Roof Wizard, generating material and flashing lists for precise estimates.

You will perform accurate takeoffs, simulate fabrication to optimize materials, and collaborate with sales, project managers, and clients to verify project details and specifications.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of commercial and steel building construction.
• Ability to read structural drawings and blueprints.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Competency with Excel, Word and related software.
• Excellent math, including trigonometry, and good communication.

Responsibilities

• Create accurate 3D roof models using AppliCad Roof Wizard from PDFs, DWGs, or images.
• Conduct precise material takeoffs for panels, accessories, and underlayment to minimize waste.
• Simulate installation to generate cutting lists and optimize material usage.
• Collaborate with sales, project managers, and clients to verify specs.
