Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Metal Process Technician in Austin, TX to support manufacturing and system operations. You will perform setup and calibration tasks, provide system support, conduct preventative maintenance, and perform failure analysis and quality testing on advanced logic devices.

You will use SOPs and data-driven methods to optimize processes, collaborate with engineers and operators, and uphold health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Follows standard operating procedures to ensure equipment/processes/systems run effectively.
• Conducts failure analysis and follows scripts to troubleshoot future failures.
• Monitors equipment and processes and looks for ways to improve.
• Effective teamwork and communication across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Familiarity with SPC methods and implementation.
• Highly capable in MS Word, Excel and Power Point.
• Ability to quickly learn new systems and adapt to procedure changes.
• Must have strong communication, teamwork, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Focused on continuous improvement in fast-paced, changing environment.
• High level of initiative and desire to learn.
• Familiar with TPM concepts.
• Meet due dates for action items.
• Adhere to SOPs.
• Reliable and punctual attendance.
• Work off-hours if necessary.
• Work hours: C Shift – Thursday through Saturday (6:45am – 7:15pm) with alternating Wednesdays.
