WALCO Tool & Engineering in Romeoville, IL is seeking a Metal Polisher (1st shift) to join our team. We build high precision components and rely on pride in quality and craftsmanship.

The role involves polishing stainless steel weldments, deburring edges, and stamping part numbers to customer specs. Requirements include 2+ years of experience, ability to read blueprints, use of hand tools, and lifting up to 40 lbs.

Formación

• 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Using hand held power tools to polish stainless steel weldments and establish grain direction.
• Blending and polishing welds to #4 food grade requirements.
• Using deburring tools such as files and abrasive products.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Desire to work with your hands and take pride in a job well done.
• Physically able to lift/push/pull objects up to 40 lbs.

Responsabilidades

• Polish stainless steel weldments to blend welds and establish grain directions.
• Deburr sharp machined edges of stainless steel, common steel, aluminum, and plastic.
• Stamp part numbers on parts.
• Assemble machined components to customer specifications.
• Package parts to prevent damage in shipment.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
