WALCO Tool & Engineering in the United States is seeking a Metal Polisher for 1st shift. The role focuses on polishing stainless steel weldments, deburring, and stamping part numbers, with emphasis on establishing grain direction and precision craftsmanship.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of experience, can read blueprints, and are motivated to work with their hands. The position offers a stable, climate-controlled environment and competitive hourly pay with full benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant experience in metal polishing.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow specifications.
• Experience polishing stainless steel weldments to a #4 grade.

Responsabilités

• Polish stainless steel weldments to establish grain direction.
• Deburr sharp machined edges on stainless steel, common steel, aluminum, and plastic.
• Stamp part numbers on parts and assemble machined components to spec.
• Package parts to prevent damage in shipment and keep work area clean.

About the Metal Polisher

Position at WALCO:

Metal polishing of stainless steel weldments to blend welds and establish grain directions. Deburring sharp machined edges of stainless steel, common steel, aluminum, and plastic materials. Stamping part numbers on parts. Assembling machined components to customer's specifications. Packaging parts to prevent damage in shipment. Keep work area clean and organized.

What we are looking for:

• 2+ years of relevant experience:
• Using hand held power tools to polish stainless steel weldments to establish a grain direction.
• Blending and polishing welds to #4 food grade requirements.
• Using deburring tools such as files and abrasive products
• Ability to read blueprints
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn quickly
• Demonstrates self motivation, strong work ethic and a desire to learn
• Desire to work with your hands and have pride in a job well done
• Must be able to physically lift/push/pull objects up to 40 lbs.

Compensation and schedule:

• 1st shift hours Monday – Friday 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with opportunities for overtime.
• $21-24 per hour, based on experience
