ClearBridge Executive Search seeks an experienced Plant Manager to oversee daily manufacturing operations, focusing on safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years in plant leadership, a strong track record in production management, and the ability to manage budgets while maintaining strong labor relations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Management or related field.
• 10+ years of plant management experience in manufacturing.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory or management experience.
• Experience in a unionized manufacturing environment is required.
• Strong knowledge of collective bargaining, labor relations, and grievance procedures.
• Proven track record managing production operations, plant budgets and performance.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment maintenance and safety standards.
• Experience implementing continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work across departments and manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily plant operations including production, assembly, quality, maintenance and materials management.
• Lead, supervise and develop production teams to meet goals.
• Set production targets and monitor performance for efficiency and productivity.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, policies and quality standards.
• Identify and implement process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
• Manage plant budgets and operating expenses and overall financial performance.
• Coordinate with departments such as Production, Quality, Maintenance, Purchasing, Finance and HR.
• Oversee equipment maintenance to minimize downtime and extend asset life.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate recordkeeping.
• Manage hiring, training, performance and development of staff.
• Maintain positive employee relations and a safe, productive work environment.
• Manage union relationships, collective bargaining agreements, grievances and labor relations.
• Partner with HR to ensure compliance with labor laws and policies.
