Job summary

Eaton is hiring for an Industrial Grinder on the 2nd shift in Sherman, TX. Core hours are Monday-Thursday 2:30pm–11:00pm and Friday 12:30pm–9:00pm. The role involves grinding and polishing metal, spot welding per specifications, and performing quality checks.

You’ll enter time in SAP and support 5S and continuous improvement activities. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, spot-welding experience, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Spot-welding experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills expected.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for long shifts.
• Read blueprints and use simple measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Grind and polish metal.
• Weld parts with spot welder per specifications.
• Run samples and compare quality to prints.
• Adjust spot welder for material thickness and finish.
• Perform quality checks and log time in SAP.
• Change welding tips as needed.
• Perform 5S and continuous improvement activities.
• Other duties as assigned.
