Job summary

Chromalloy Gas Turbine LLC in Tampa, FL is seeking a skilled machinist to operate pneumatic and power hand tools and to finish metal castings per engineering specs.

You will be responsible for selecting castings, securing them, performing inspections, and executing FPI and visual rework as needed; safety and quality are essential. The role requires high school education and 2–3 months related experience; English communication and basic math skills are important.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent life experience and two-to-three-month related experience or training.
• Ability to communicate in English, read and comprehend simple instructions and write simple correspondence.
• Ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and perform basic arithmetic in US units.

Responsibilities

• Selects castings for work per supervisor instructions and ensures correct routers are used.
• Operates pneumatic and power hand tools such as die grinders and belt sanders.
• Grinds, blends and polishes castings per specifications to remove defects.
• Performs FPI and visual rework as necessary.
• Performs sandblast operations and inspects finished work per IMRS.
