Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking a rotofinishing specialist to perform grit blasting and grinding operations on welded castings. The role requires reading shop travelers and following safety procedures, with a shift from 3:30pm to 12:00am, Monday through Friday, in the Mid-Fin department.

Responsibilities include selecting tools, deburring, and preparing weld repair cavities while maintaining tolerances and quality standards. Benefits include PTO, holidays, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Requires the use of shop math plus decimals, fractions, formulas, specifications charts, tables, and adjustable measuring instruments requiring interpretation, preparations and posting.
• 6 months of manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Operates manual and automatic grit blast equipment and handheld pneumatic and bench grinding tools and equipment.
• Selects appropriate tool to perform basic and routine exterior and interior surface finishing, scraping, deburring, to remove visual casting defects from the part.
• Prepares the casting defect area for weld repair by grinding proper weld repair cavity.
• Exercise care in handling and operation to avoid surface damage, cracking or over stressing of parts and to obtain required finish, dimensional and inter-relational tolerances.
