Staffmark Group is hiring a Metal Finishing Plater in Alexandria, MN. The role pays $17.50 per hour and requires safety-conscious, physically able candidates who can lift, stand, and work in hot conditions.

Qualifications

• Ability to work safely in a metal finishing environment.
• Lift up to 45 lbs regularly and up to 70 lbs occasionally with team lift for heavier items.
• Stand for an entire shift; frequent bending, squatting, reaching and gripping.
• Work in hot and humid conditions, with temperatures reaching 100F+.
• Must be clean-shaven where required for respirator fit.
• Must pass a Pulmonary Function Test.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow work instructions and safety procedures.
• Ability to learn racking, plating, inspection, and packaging processes.

Responsibilities

• Support plating and powder coating operations by assisting line operators.
• Learn and apply proper racking techniques to maximize product quality and production efficiency.
• Build and modify racks to accommodate new products and optimize throughput.
• Hang and remove metal parts for plating and finishing processes.
• Perform post-plating rinsing and drying procedures.
• Follow inspection and packaging requirements for finished products.
• Maintain proper job segregation and material organization.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Use tools and equipment including racks, hooks, carts, forklifts, air tools, soldering equipment, and related production tools.
• Follow all safety policies and wear required PPE at all times.
