Job summary

ResourceMFG is seeking a Production Associate in Grand Rapids, MI. The role involves day shifts, Monday through Friday, 6am to 3pm, with pay between $18 and $19 per hour depending on experience.

Responsibilities include operating grinders and hand/power tools, preparing surfaces for welding or finishing, assembling parts per blueprints, and ensuring parts meet quality standards. Prior production experience is required.

Qualifications

• Physically demanding production work, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Operate grinders and other hand and power tools to grind, sand, smooth, clean, and polish metal parts and surfaces.
• Identify, remove, and correct surface defects, including cracks, splits, sharp edges, burrs, and other imperfections, and mark defects requiring welding or additional repair.
• Prepare parts and materials for welding, painting, finishing, or other production processes by cleaning, grinding, sanding, and properly preparing surfaces.
• Assemble parts and subassemblies according to blueprints, assembly instructions, specifications, and established work procedures.
• Position and fit parts using measurements, templates, fixtures, and other approved methods.
• Previous production experience required

Responsibilities

• Select and use the appropriate abrasives, tools, and equipment based on the material, size and shape of the workpiece, amount of material to be removed, and required finish.
• Identify, remove, and correct surface defects, including cracks, splits, sharp edges, burrs, and other imperfections, and mark defects requiring welding or additional repair.
• Prepare parts and materials for welding, painting, finishing, or other production processes by cleaning, grinding, sanding, and properly preparing surfaces.
• Assemble parts and subassemblies according to blueprints, assembly instructions, specifications, and established work procedures.
• Position and fit parts using measurements, templates, fixtures, and other approved methods.
