Job summary

Opti Staffing partners with a local industrial metal finishing company in Estacada, Oregon to hire a Metal Finisher. You will prepare metal parts for finishing and plating, polish and prep parts, and perform welding repairs using MIG and TIG.

This full-time, day-shift role offers on-site work with starting pay of $23+ per hour, depending on experience. A strong eye for detail and hands-on shop experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous metal finishing experience required.
• Experience with polishing, grinding, sanding, or other surface preparation.
• Some MIG and/or TIG welding experience.
• Ability to read and follow job specifications and safety rules.
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Prepare metal parts for finishing and plating processes.
• Polish, grind, sand, and prep customer parts before and after plating.
• Remove imperfections, scratches, and surface defects.
• Perform metal finishing and surface preparation to achieve the required finish.
• Complete welding repairs and build-up work using MIG and TIG.
• Inspect parts throughout the finishing process to ensure quality.
• Work with a variety of industrial metal components and customer parts.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Follow job specifications and maintain a consistent level of quality.
• Perform other shop duties as needed to support production.

Position: Metal Finisher
Location: Estacada, OR
Pay: $23+/hr to start, depending on experience
Schedule: Day Shift, Monday–Friday

Who We Are

Opti Staffing is partnering with a local industrial metal finishing company that specializes in working with customer parts through various stages of preparation, repair, polishing, and finishing. We are looking for someone with hands-on metal finishing experience who also has a background in MIG and/or TIG welding. This is a hands-on position where attention to detail and quality workmanship are extremely important.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare metal parts for finishing and plating processes
• Polish, grind, sand, and prep customer parts before and after plating
• Remove imperfections, scratches, and surface defects
• Perform metal finishing and surface preparation to achieve the required finish
• Complete welding repairs and build-up work using MIG and TIG
• Inspect parts throughout the finishing process to ensure quality
• Work with a variety of industrial metal components and customer parts
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively

What You Need to Have

• Some hands-on MIG and/or TIG welding experience
• Comfortable working with hand and power tools

• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
• Ability to work with different types and sizes of metal parts

The Musts

• Metal finishing experience
• Some MIG and/or TIG welding experience
• Ability to perform detailed polishing and surface preparation
• Ability to work on your feet and perform hands‑on shop work throughout the day
• Reliable transportation to Estacada

Preferred

• Experience in a plating, chrome, fabrication, welding, machine shop, or industrial finishing environment
• Experience repairing or preparing parts before and after plating
• Strong welding/fabrication background
• Experience with grinders, buffers, sanders, and other finishing equipment
• Previous industrial manufacturing experience
