Job summary

Boomtown Design in Austin, TX seeks an experienced fabricator for its metal and steel division. You will perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on structural and architectural projects for commercial and residential clients.

Requirements include 5+ years in a metal fabrication shop, ability to read production drawings, operate grinders and drills, and work safely in a fast-paced shop and on job sites. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of metal fabrication shop experience.
• MIG and Stick welding experience required.
• Structural welding, fabrication & erection experience.
• Ability to read production drawings.
• Familiar with power tools and shop equipment.
• Must pass welding test.

Responsibilities

• MIG, TIG and Stick welding as required.
• Cut, grind, prime materials for projects.
• Read and accurately interpret structural plans and production drawings.
• Assist with monitoring consumable inventory.
• Maintain and operate support equipment (machines, hand tools, forklift, construction vehicles, etc).
• Other tasks may be assigned as needed.
