Job summary

Race Rock Group seeks a shop floor assembler to perform metal fabrication tasks on the shop floor, operating hand and power tools as needed. You will assemble structures with bolts, move materials with a crane, and prep surfaces for welding while maintaining a clean, safe work area.

The role requires basic arithmetic, material handling, and adherence to safety standards, with pre-employment medical history checks and post-offer requirements.

Qualifications

• Less than high school education or up to one month related experience.
• Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
• Pre-employment physical/m medical history check required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble structures with bolts following procedures.
• Report defective materials to supervisor.
• Operate the crane to move material.
• Operate grinders and other power tools to prep material for welding.
• Drill holes in products per specifications.
• Touch up galvanizing defects and sharp edges.
• Sweep areas to keep the shop clean.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow safety regulations.
