Qualifications

• Experience supervising a metal fabrication or manufacturing shop.
• Hands-on experience with press brake setup and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and shop processes.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily metal fabrication shop activities and production schedules.
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot press brake machines for bending sheet metal.
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and fabrication specifications.
• Ensure parts are fabricated to required dimensions, tolerances, and quality standards.
• Assign work, monitor employee performance, and maintain production efficiency.
• Train, coach, and support shop employees in proper fabrication techniques and equipment operation.
• Inspect finished parts and verify quality before moving jobs to the next production stage.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Coordinate with management and other departments to meet production deadlines.
• Monitor materials, tooling, and equipment needs.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce scrap, and minimize downtime.
• Enforce company safety procedures and proper equipment usage.
