Job summary

Metfab Engineering, Inc. is looking for a Metal Fabrication Sales Estimator to assess project requirements, review drawings and customer requests, and translate them into accurate cost estimates.

You will prepare detailed quotes, coordinate with suppliers for pricing, and maintain cost data to support profitability. You will also collaborate with engineering and production teams to validate feasibility and lead times, ensuring timely, cost-effective fabrication solutions for customers.

Qualifications

• Prepare cost estimates: Calculate material, labor, machine time, and subcontracting costs for custom parts and assemblies.
• Develop quotes: Create detailed proposals and pricing for customers, ensuring accuracy and profitability.
• Vendor coordination: Obtain pricing from suppliers for raw materials, tooling, and outsourced processes.
• Maintain cost database: Update and manage historical cost data for materials, labor rates, and machine operations.
• Collaborate with teams: Work with engineering and production to validate feasibility and lead times.
• Other duties may be assigned
