Qualifications

• Prior machine operation, manufacturing, metal fabrication, welding, or industrial shop experience.
• Experience operating metalworking or fabrication machinery.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic shop math.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, dimensions, and fabrication instructions.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new equipment.
• Attention to detail and quality control.
• Ability to safely operate tools and equipment and handle materials.

Responsibilities

• Safely set up and operate assigned shop machinery and metal fabrication equipment.
• Read and follow shop drawings, work orders, cut lists, and production instructions.
• Measure, mark, cut, drill, punch, and form materials to required dimensions.
• Verify measurements and completed parts for accuracy before moving to the next stage.
• Perform basic machine adjustments and tooling changes as required.
• Inspect machinery and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work station and area.
• Follow production schedules and communicate shortages or delays to leadership.
• Complete required production documentation using the Metalcrafters app.
