Responsibilities

• Measure, compare and perform shop calculations to ensure conformance with specs using shop tools and equipment
• Perform material fit ups and layouts with steel
• Position and secure workpieces using hand tools and forklifts
• Inspect products and equipment for defects or malfunctions
• Sand and grind surfaces as needed
• Break out steel as required
• Assemble steel panels with bolt-together construction
• Handle materials and operate forklift for material flow
