Fathom Mfg in Newark, NY is seeking a Production Associate – Etcher I to develop and etch metal sheets to customer specifications, using proper procedures and the company app under supervision. You will select jobs by due date, prepare sheets for etching, inspect first runs, enter notes, keep the area clean, and help other departments as needed; the role is learning-focused and may involve overtime.

Hours are Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.

Competenze

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills.
• Detail oriented.
• Promotes teamwork, cooperation and commitment to “Total Customer Satisfaction” among team members.
• Good oral and written skills.
• Ability to lift or move up to 75 lbs. on occasion
• Ability to stand for long periods of time

Mansioni

• Using the app and supervisor input, choose jobs based on due date and expediting priority
• Following proper procedures, develop the metal sheets to prepare them for etching
• Using the app, printed routers, customer prints, known and indicated procedures, etch sheets so that parts meet customer specifications
• Complete an “etcher check” to inspect first run of parts
• Enter notes into app and alert others of issues
• Etcher I position is learning procedures for etching parts and usually etches parts with less tight tolerances or etches under supervision of an Etcher II employee
• Maintain cleanliness of work area
• Ensure proper maintenance of equipment & monitor chemistry
• Alert supervisor of any needs for supplies or chemicals
• Assist other departments as needed
• Other duties as assigned based on business needs
