Universal Engraving, Inc. in Overland Park, KS is seeking an Engraving Etcher who is detail-oriented and committed to accuracy.

No prior experience required as on-the-job training is provided; you will work Mon-Fri 1:00 pm to 9:30 pm and contribute to precise copper plate etching processes. You will measure chemicals, monitor bath conditions, maintain safety standards, support equipment maintenance, inspect etched products, and keep detailed process records.

Responsabilités

• Accurately measure and add chemicals to etching baths and sumps according to specifications.
• Monitor chemical levels and maintain bath conditions for copper plate etching.
• Follow safety protocols when handling chemical substances.
• Assist with routine preventative maintenance procedures.
• Clean and maintain mechanical devices and hardware components.
• Support replacement of non-precision mechanical equipment as needed.
• Inspect etched products for defects and verify conformance to specifications.
• Identify and report any quality issues or deviations.
• Maintain detailed records of chemical additions and process parameters.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Follow OSHA and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Accurately measure and add chemicals to etching baths and sumps according to established specifications
• Monitor chemical levels and maintain optimal bath conditions for copper plate etching
• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols when handling chemical substances
• Assist with routine preventative maintenance procedures
• Clean and maintain mechanical devices and hardware components
• Support the replacement of non-precision mechanical equipment as needed
• Inspect etched products for defects and verify conformance to process specifications
• Identify and report any quality issues or process deviations
• Maintain detailed records of chemical additions and process parameters
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Follow all OSHA and environmental regulations

Requirements

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of and the ability to abide by applicable OSHA and environmental regulations.
• At least 1 year experience operating etching tank preferred
