Job summary

University of Pennsylvania, Perelman School of Medicine, seeks a Project Manager to lead LC-MS and GC-MS based metabolomics projects. You will manage workflows from study design through data delivery, collaborating with investigators across multiple projects.

The role involves SOP development, method creation, and data presentation at meetings. Position funded for one year with potential extension within a dynamic, interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Master of Science required with 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Extensive hands‑on experience with chromatography and mass spectrometry including GC‑MS sample prep.
• Strong communication and ability to work in an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Follow and develop SOPs for mass spectrometry workflows.
• Operate LC‑MS/GC‑MS instruments and perform routine maintenance.
• Develop FDA‑compliant LC‑MS methods for detection of target molecules.
• Prepare samples and QA/QC for LC‑MS and GC‑MS assays.
• Coordinate timelines and deliverables across multiple studies.
• Serve as main contact for collaborators and core facility clients.
