Qualifications

• Master's degree with coursework in field of assignment preferred
• Bachelor's degree with coursework in field of assignment required or 2 years of college in related coursework
• 1 year of research experience at level of Research Technician or equivalent with Bachelor's degree or 4 years research experience with two years as Research Technician or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Performs scientific and medical research work in biology, chemistry, physics or related field.
• Constructs and operates laboratory equipment and apparatus.
• Records and evaluates data for scientific papers.
• Collaborates with supervisor and other researchers on publications.
• Reads literature and discusses procedures with supervisor.
• Collects and organizes data for project reports.
• May supervise lower-grade technicians or staff.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
