Job summary

Bruker is seeking an Applications Scientist in Metabolomics to advance LC-MS/MS applications, especially ESI timsTOF and ESI QTOF systems, for academic and pharma R&D. The role supports the East Coast USA and Canada with a mix of remote and in-person activities, including travel to Billerica, MA.

You will develop methods, train customers, and contribute to metabolomics, lipidomics, exposomics, and natural products applications.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or BS/MS with several years' MS experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills for diverse customers.
• Strong project management and ability to juggle multiple site visits.
• Experience delivering technical presentations to customers.
• Fast learner with ability to adapt to new technologies for method development.

Responsibilities

• Perform analyses of samples from prospective customers focusing on metabolomics and lipidomics.
• Provide post-sales support via on-site training and method development for new ESI MS systems.
• Assist in pre-sales through joint visits and technical presentations.
• Conduct instrument demonstrations at customer sites.
• Author technical documents showing new Bruker ESI MS applications.
• Develop new applications for ESI MS product line for conferences and seminars.
• Provide follow-up training and professional customer support.
