Job summary

PTC Therapeutics is seeking a Medical Science Liaison to advance scientific exchange with KOLs, clinicians, and academic centers. This field-based role supports and represents PTC products with a focus on rare diseases.

The MSL builds long-term relationships, delivers fair-balanced scientific presentations, and collaborates with Medical Affairs to inform strategy. Travel 50–60% and work independently within a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• PhD/PharmD/MD or equivalent with 2+ years as MSL
• Experience with orphan products/rare diseases preferred
• Experience engaging with KOLs, payors, and HCPs to establish scientific credibility

Responsibilities

• Attends national/regional meetings as a representative; summarizes findings and cultivates professional relationships
• Delivers objective clinical presentations to HCPs, payors, patient organizations
• Identifies speakers for advisory boards and educational programs
• Supports regional medical initiatives as needed
• Provides input on competitive therapies and market insights
• Maintains relations with health authorities and institutions
• Facilitates grant applications and research support requests
• Maintains awareness of regulatory, quality issues and SOPs
• Monitors competitor information and educates internal stakeholders
