Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital is seeking a MET Nurse for per diem night shifts in Vero Beach, FL. This role focuses on identifying at-risk patients outside the ICU/ED and coordinating rapid response efforts.

The ideal candidate will hold a BSN, have 3+ years in complex critical care, and possess FL RN licensure with BLS/ACLS/NIHSS certifications. NIHSS preferred and ongoing education supported.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• At least 3 years of nursing experience in a complex critical care environment.
• Florida RN license with BLS, ACLS, NIHSS; national critical care certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify patients requiring critical assessment and intervention.
• Implement action plans after data analysis and case reviews.
• Serve as a CRRC member and enter cases into the quality data review tool; present findings at CRRC meetings.
• Stay current with evidence-based practice and recommend standards.
• Ensure regulatory compliance across units.
• Provide nursing staff education on code response roles.
