Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital in Vero Beach, FL seeks an experienced RN to join the Surgical ICU on a per diem night shift. You will provide direct patient care for postoperative patients, implement care plans, and coordinate with the team to optimize patient outcomes.

The role requires RN licensure, ADN or BSN, and BLS certification. You will educate patients and families, document conditions, and participate in discharge planning with the care team.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing (ADN or BSN program).
• One year of current acute care RN experience OR licensed military RN experience.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, document and communicate patients' conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and their families.
