Sonepar USA Inc. is hiring a Warehouse-Yard Associate in Mesa, AZ. This full-time role involves loading, unloading, and moving yard materials, picking orders, packaging for shipment, and maintaining accurate inventory records.

You will operate forklifts and other equipment, follow safety protocols, and collaborate with a team to meet daily shipping goals. The position runs 12:00pm-9:00pm, Monday through Friday, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of automated or computerized system operation.
• Data-entry, reporting, and recordkeeping skills.
• Knowledge of safety practices, and wears PPE as assigned.
• Ability to operate a forklift and other material handling equipment. Must be Forklift Operation Certified after hire.
• Strong mathematical skills to perform calculations with various units of measure.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and move Yard materials from storage to staging sites per each sales ticket.
• Use work orders and verbal instructions to assemble materials and containers to be picked, moved, or staged.
• Collect and pick all Yard materials included in customer orders using the pick ticket.
• Package merchandise for shipment to ensure maximum efficiency and reduce damage.
• Properly wrap, label, and mark material for easy identification and loading.
• Use Eclipse to confirm picking and staging of materials, ensuring proper piece count for drivers and customers.
• Load materials onto vehicles and properly secure cargo.
• Unload incoming vehicles, prepare receiving documents, and receive all Yard materials.
• Document shipments and changes in inventory using Eclipse.
• Clean work areas, machines, and equipment on a routine basis.
• Safely operate all necessary equipment; operate forklift to assist in loading or moving materials.
• Count, weigh or measure incoming or outgoing items and compare with bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
