Corning Incorporated is seeking a seasoned software professional to manage, modify, and develop computer systems for manufacturing optical fiber. You will work with a team of engineers on MES implementation, lead and mentor junior developers, participate in capital projects, and provide occasional after-hours on-call support.

The role emphasizes collaboration with IT and manufacturing teams to optimize processes and support Corning's optical fiber objectives.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering; or equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in Object-Oriented design and development using languages such as C#, VB.Net, Java.
• Proficient in programming skills including C#, VB.Net, SQL, Camstar, Git.

Responsabilidades

• Work with engineers to develop and support MES implementation across the optical fiber division.
• Demonstrate leadership by mentoring junior developers and fostering their technical growth.
• Participate in capital projects.
• Some after hours, on-call support may be needed.
