Job summary

Fortune Brands Innovations, Inc. is seeking an MES Engineer to support and drive MES projects across Fiberon facilities.

You will collaborate with engineers, managers, and operators to develop MES applications and hardware implementations that sustain a continuous improvement culture. You will lead software implementations, translate requirements into specifications, and ensure successful testing and deployment while supporting site rollout and change management.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years experience with software development.
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering.
• Technical understanding of computer programming and application development.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional and collaborative team environment.
• Demonstrated project management skills, adherence to timelines, stakeholder communication.
• Knowledge of Windows based systems and MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day MES-related issues and coordinate with team members.
• Utilize Ignition software for front end design and development for MES.
• Define, design, and lead software implementations across manufacturing operations.
• Support alignment of common MES requirements across sites.
• Translate business needs into functional MES specifications.
• Serve as SME for MES functionality including production execution, routing, and data collection.
• Support testing activities (unit, integration, UAT) and production deployment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for site deployment and training.
• Identify opportunities for process standardization and automation via MES.
• Communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders; present updates and risks.
