Job summary

Fortune Brands Innovations is seeking a MES Software Engineer to support and drive MES initiatives across Fiberon facilities. You will collaborate with engineers, managers, supervisors, and operators to develop MES applications and hardware implementations that support continuous improvement.

You will define, design, and lead software implementations, translate business needs into MES specifications, and serve as a subject-matter expert for production execution, routing, and data collection.

Qualifications

3-5 years of software development experience.
Associates or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
Technical understanding of programming and app development.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work in cross-functional and collaborative teams.
Proven project management skills and timelines.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day MES issues with the engineering team.
Use Ignition for front-end MES design and development.
Define and lead software implementations across manufacturing operations.
Align manufacturing requirements across sites.
Translate requirements into detailed MES specs.
Serve as MES subject-matter expert for production execution, routing, data collection and traceability.
Support testing activities including unit, integration, and UAT.
Partner with teams for site deployment, training and adoption of MES solutions.
Identify opportunities for standardization and process improvement.
