Job summary

Ridgecrest Conference Center is seeking an MERHVAC Manager to oversee the maintenance, operation, and reliability of essential facility systems including boilers, HVAC, refrigeration, and electrical infrastructure at our Blue Ridge Mountain campus.

You will lead technical teams through planning, replacement, and continuous improvement during renovations and new construction, ensuring regulatory compliance and energy efficiency while supporting guest and staff safety.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.
Certification to reclaim and recycle CFC and HCFC refrigerants required.
3+ years of work experience in a related field.
2+ years in a leadership role.
Valid driver’s license required.
Knowledge of and proficiency with using shop tools and related equipment.

Responsibilities

Provide direction, oversight, and leadership to assigned staff.
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain boilers, hot water systems, mechanical and electrical systems, HVAC, refrigeration.
Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and environmental control systems.
Maintain records of preventative maintenance and repairs.
Install new or replacement mechanical and electrical equipment; ensure functionality and safety standards.
Monitor energy management systems to optimize usage and reduce costs.
Select and manage outsourced suppliers and services for quality and safety.
Oversee troubleshooting and timely resolution of system issues.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.
Provide regular reports on system performance and staffing needs.
