Compensation: $125,000 – $150,000 base + performance bonus
The Opportunity
Our client is a growing multifamily real estate investment and development firm focused on acquiring and repositioning naturally occurring affordable and workforce housing across the Mid-Atlantic. They are seeking a Senior Associate / Manager of Multifamily Investments to play a critical execution role across acquisitions, underwriting, and transaction management. This role offers direct exposure to the full investment lifecycle, meaningful deal responsibility, and a clear path to advancement as the portfolio scales.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and evaluate multifamily acquisition opportunities through broker relationships, off-market channels, and proprietary networks
- Build and maintain detailed financial models and underwriting for value-add and repositioning strategies
- Market and submarket analysis
- Property financial and operating reviews
- Assisting with site visits and inspections
- Support LOI development, contract negotiations, and transaction execution
- Coordinate with lenders through financing processes from term sheet to closing
- Assist in preparing investment committee materials and lender/investor presentations
- Track deal timelines and coordinate internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborate closely with asset management and property management teams to ensure underwriting assumptions reflect operational realities
- Represent the firm at industry events and maintain strong broker and lender relationships
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business, or related field
- 4–7 years of experience in commercial real estate, with a strong preference for multifamily acquisitions or investment analysis
- Proven experience with financial modeling and underwriting
- Working knowledge of debt structures, capital markets, and transaction processes
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with real estate modeling software a plus
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple transactions concurrently in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with value-add multifamily strategies
- Exposure to Mid-Atlantic multifamily markets
- Master’s degree or professional designations (CFA, CCIM) a plus, not required
Compensation & Growth
- Base salary: $125,000 – $150,000, commensurate with experience
- Performance-based bonus tied to acquisitions and execution milestones
