Job description

M&A/Finance Associate - Corporate Development & M&A - Energy & Power Platform

A high growth energy and power platform, spanning renewables, storage and thermal generation, is hiring a Finance Associate into a seat built like a buy side deal team.

Think live M&A, live financings, live diligence, not a rotational program. You'll be working transactions from screen to close, embedded inside the team driving corporate development for a platform positioned at the center of the AI driven surge in power demand.

This is a lean, deal focused function sitting inside Finance, M&A, Development and Strategy, running at the pace and rigor of a transaction team, with the added edge of owning the asset and platform context that pure advisory seats never get.

What you’ll actually do:
  • Build and own the financial models underpinning live M&A, financing and strategic transactions across a diverse generation portfolio
  • Structure and execute project level debt and tax equity financings, hands on, not theoretical
  • Produce investment and marketing materials for live deals, the kind that go in front of counterparties and capital providers
  • Run due diligence workstreams, coordinating internal teams and external advisors
  • Screen, evaluate and value acquisition targets, including opportunities at the intersection of power and hyperscale data centre demand
  • Present directly to senior leadership on market intelligence and deal strategy
What you bring:
  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering or similar
  • 3+ years in Finance, M&A or transaction-adjacent roles, ideally in energy or power
  • Strong financial modeling skills (tax equity experience a plus, not required)
  • The polish and precision to operate credibly with senior stakeholders and counterparties
Why this seat:

This is transaction execution without the advisory seat ceiling, you're not pitching deals, you're closing them, and you own the platform relationships and asset knowledge that come with sitting inside the business. For someone who wants M&A and financing exposure with a clearer path to ownership and impact than a traditional bank seat offers, this is a rare one.

Comprehensive benefits, strong 401(k) match, and a culture built around accountability.
