POSITION SUMMARY
As a Merger Integration Specialist, you will coordinate and manage the transition of acquired companies, ensuring a smooth integration of systems, processes, people, and cultures to realize the intended synergies of a merger or sub-acquisition.

  • Reports to: Merger Integration Director, Bluespring Wealth Partners
  • Location: Austin, TX

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this role successfully, the individual must demonstrate personal ownership of all aspects of the role to create positive results, including:

  • Planning and Execution : Develop and execute integration plans, timelines, and strategies, ensuring alignment with the overall M&A strategy.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration : Facilitate communication and collaboration between different teams and departments to ensure a cohesive integration process.
  • Risk Management : Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks and issues that may arise during the integration process.
  • Technology Integration: Oversee consolidation of CRM systems, financial planning software, custodial platforms, client reporting tools, and other core technology with minimal disruption to clients and advisors.
  • Process Improvement : Analyze and optimize processes, systems, and workflows to create a more efficient and effective organization.
  • Change Management : Support employees through the transition, addressing concerns and ensuring a smooth cultural integration.
  • Data Management : Oversee and ensure the accuracy and integrity of data during the integration process.
  • Reporting and Analysis : Track progress, identify issues, and report regularly to stakeholders.
  • Project Management : Manage integration projects, completing them on time and within budget.
  • Communication : Effectively communicate the integration plan and progress to all stakeholders, including senior management and employees.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND/OR ABILITIES

To perform this job successfully, the individual should have the following skills and abilities.

  • Experience in Wealth Management and/or RIA industry in a growth-oriented role.
  • Understanding of the M&A landscape and the integration process.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable recommendations and strategies.
  • Ability to identify and resolve sensitive issues that arise during the integration process.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and inspire across all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to think strategically, with a proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally to influence outcomes.
  • Detail-oriented, consistent follow-up to drive accountability.
  • Project management experience is a plus.
  • Travel up to 30%.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES : None

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years of experience in wealth management, financial advisory services, or a related industry, with a strong merger and integration success track record.
