Job summary

Mercy South is seeking a dedicated Program Coordinator to lead the Mercy Neighborhood Ministries initiatives in the St. Louis area. You will engage with community partners, plan activities, and ensure program alignment with health equity goals.

The role requires a Bachelor's in public health or related field and 5 years of health-related experience, with a Master’s preferred. Strong data skills and collaboration across teams are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in public health, health sciences, social work or health related field required.
  • 5 years of health-related experience with demonstrated subject matter expertise.
  • Master's in Public Health or related field preferred.
  • CBISA data entry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Mercy Neighborhood Ministries programs and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Mercy and community partners to address health equity.
  • Collect and analyze data to inform program decisions and funding needs.
  • Prepare reports and present findings to stakeholders and leadership.

Full-Time, Days

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in public health, health sciences, social work or health related field required

Experience: 5 years of health-related experience with demonstrated subject matter expertise.

Preferred Qualifications

Education: Master's in Public Health or related field

Experience: 5 years of healthcare experience, experience developing programming that address health equity and social determinants of health, experience. CBISA data entry experience.

Other Skills, Knowledge, Abilities
  • Is knowledgeable of health assessments, screenings, and health equity programs.
  • Can gather and collect data for financial purposes. Data-driven decision-making abilities.
  • Demonstrates strong verbal, including public speaking, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse community groups and individuals.
  • Demonstrates understanding of epidemiology and social determinants of health.
  • Ability to develop strategic work relationships both internal to Mercy and externally with community-based organizations and regional partners.
  • Experience with PowerPoint, Excel and Microsoft Word.
