Job summary

Kurvpay's Corporate Office in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Merchant Underwriter to review merchant applications, analyze exposure, and make confident risk decisions in a fast-paced environment. You will evaluate credit reports from Equifax, Experian, and Dun & Bradstreet, communicate findings to sales and management, and ensure compliance.

A 3-year underwriting background and strong analytical and communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience in a commercial underwriting environment.
• Typing 50+ WPM or equivalent keystrokes.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Experience reviewing credit reports (Equifax, Experian, Dun & Bradstreet).
• Team-oriented with ability to work extended shifts when needed.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Finance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct commercial credit applicant reviews.
• Analyze merchant applications across diverse business types.
• Handle a wide range of volumes and ticket amounts with standard documentation.
• Review and analyze credit reports for individuals and companies.
• Communicate findings with merchants, sales representatives, and internal teams.
