Kurv is seeking a Senior Merchant Underwriter to review, analyze, and approve merchant applications and existing accounts with a focus on medium and high-risk, including high-volume e-commerce and forward-delivery models such as travel.

The ideal candidate will bring proven underwriting experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to mentor junior staff while operating with independent authority and maintaining strict compliance with card network rules and internal guidelines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in payments merchant underwriting with high-risk exposure.
• Experience analyzing individual and company credit reports and financial statements.
• Ability to mentor junior underwriters and present findings to management.

Responsabilités

• Review and analyze merchant applications with forward-delivery exposure (e.g., travel).
• Recommend terms such as reserve, escrow, or collateral to mitigate risk.
• Prepare detailed reports and present findings to senior management.
• Mentor underwriters and provide QA feedback on decisions.
