We are looking for a motivated and results-driven Merchant Business Development Manager to join our growing Fidel API team. We're looking for dynamic sales leaders who bring energy and enthusiasm, shaping a culture of excellence. Success in this role requires a consultative sales approach, the ability to translate data-driven insights into actionable strategies and a passion for delivering innovative solutions that create tangible business impact for our merchant partnerships.

Key Responsiblities:

  • Leverage your expertise to develop and execute a strategic partnership strategy that drives business growth through new merchant partnerships
  • Act as the primary liaison for merchant partners, crafting and implementing account-level strategies to generate new business, onboard merchant partners onto the Fidel platform, and surpass revenue and long-term growth targets
  • Engage merchant partners with compelling presentations and pitches, showcasing confidence and strategic insight
  • Analyse merchant partner performance and engagement, collaborating with the analytics team to uncover new opportunities for growth
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure seamless integration, operational efficiency, and sustained merchant partner success
  • Cold outreach through email, LinkedIn, attending conferences and events


Requirements


Qualifications

  • 5+ years Proven track record in consultative sales, partnerships, or business development within fintech, payments, adtech, martech, or related industries
  • Must have Card Linked Offers, Loyalty, Cashback Rewards experience.
  • Experience managing and growing strategic merchant partnerships, with a focus on revenue generation and long-term value creation
  • Ability to develop and execute go-to-market strategies that drive adoption and engagement
  • Strong problem-solving skills, combining financial acumen, long-term vision, and data-driven approaches to tackle complex challenges
  • Expertise in data-driven selling and marketing, with a deep understanding of business performance metrics and basic statistical analysis
  • Skilled in decision-making, adept at finding common ground and aligning stakeholders and teams with conflicting priorities
  • Experienced in delivering high-impact business reviews to internal leadership and senior executives, as well as external partners
  • Experienced in CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot) and proficient in MS Office Suite, with the ability to leverage technology for pipeline management and business reporting
  • A passion and hunger for Business Development, by cold outreach and attending conferences and events


Preferred Skills

  • Expertise in payment processing, API-based solutions, and understanding the merchant offers ecosystem
  • Experience working with card schemes (Visa, Mastercard and/or AMEX) and navigating data regulations, ensuring compliance while driving business growth
  • Proven ability to lead and manage complex technical sales processes, effectively collaborating with internal product, engineering, and operations teams to deliver seamless solutions
