Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Canton, OH. You will partner with the Store Manager to lead a dynamic team, focus on merchandising, and manage freight flow to keep the sales floor stocked and presentable.

The role requires retail and management experience, strong communication skills, and physical ability to lift 30–50 lbs. You’ll contribute to a high-energy, team-oriented environment and uphold company policies and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.
• Process all corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain store cleanliness and orderliness throughout the premises.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Assist Store Manager with additional duties as assigned.
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
• Manage freight flow according to productivity standards.
• Order and stock merchandise needs, including frozen & refrigerated items.
• Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective.
• Plan and maintain Clip Strips and Power Panels with items.
