Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager at our Highland Heights, OH location. You will support the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team, focusing on merchandising and processing freight to ensure a positive customer experience.

You will handle store operations, open/close procedures, asset protection, and adherence to safety policies while maintaining clean, well-stocked areas and professional interactions with customers and staff.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in retail and supervising a team.
• Strong communication and written skills are required.
• Ability to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms and floors.
• Ensure a positive, safe environment for customers and staff.
• Assist Store Manager with duties as assigned (DSD, freight, merchandise planning).
• Plan and merchandise monthly Sales Planners.
