Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Omaha to lead a team, assist the Store Manager with store operations, and optimize merchandising and freight processing. The role emphasizes maintaining store standards and delivering a positive customer experience.

You will work on ensuring inventory accuracy, processing directives, and coordinating with leadership to keep the sales floor energized and well-stocked. This position is full-time and based on-site in Omaha, NE.

Qualifications

• Retail management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to lift 30–50 lbs and perform duties with frequent movement.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process directives such as Pull and Hold/Destroy and other communications.
• Keep store clean and presentable, including bathrooms.
• Maintain positive, safe, and respectful interactions with customers and staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
• Manage freight flow according to productivity standards.
• Order and stock merchandise, including frozen & refrigerated items.
• Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective.
• Plan, merchandise, and maintain clip strips and power panels.
• Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners.
