Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Bellevue, NE to join the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and delivering great shopping experiences.

The role focuses on merchandising and processing freight, with hands-on responsibilities in daily store operations. You will support opening/closing, stockroom upkeep, freight flow, and customer interactions, while upholding safety and company policies.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards
• Process all corporate directives and communications related to store activities
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, and trash
• Ensure a positive, safe, respectful environment for customers and staff
• Other duties as assigned
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise
• Manage freight flow in accordance with productivity standards
• Order and stock merchandise needs including frozen & refrigerated items
• Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective
• Plan and maintain clip strips and power panels with items
• Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners
• Plan and merchandise assortments to support sales targets
