Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. in West Allis seeks a Merchandise Assistant Manager to assist the Store Manager in leading a team and driving merchandising and freight processes. You will help maintain the sales floor, stockroom, and customer experience, ensuring efficient store operations and adherence to policies.

Candidates should have retail/management experience, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs as needed while promoting a safe, energetic work environment.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical store duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.
• Process all corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain store cleanliness and restocking of bathrooms and floors.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Assist Store Manager with duties: receive and return DSD merchandise, manage freight flow, stock merchandise, plan merchandise and monthly Sales Planners.
