Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Joliet, IL to join our Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and delivering positive experiences for the communities we serve.

You’ll focus on merchandising and processing freight while upholding company standards. As a full-time team member, you’ll assist with store functions, open/close procedures, protect assets, maintain clean stockroom and sales floor, and execute corporate directives related to stock and customer

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and meet demands of frequent movement.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store to company standards.
• Process all corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store and restock as needed.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
