Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Wilmington, DE to support the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and delivering positive customer experiences through merchandising and freight processing.

You will assist with opening and closing, protect assets, maintain stockrooms and sales floors, and coordinate stock as well as monthly Sales Planners. This role requires strong communication, retail leadership potential, and the ability to work in a high-energy,

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and handle frequent movement (walking, standing, stooping, kneeling).
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store to company standards.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain store cleanliness and restocking of bathrooms, floors, and trash.
