Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. in Clifton, NJ is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and delivering outstanding customer experiences.

You will focus on merchandising and processing freight to keep the store well stocked and appealing. You will help with opening/closing procedures, asset protection, and daily operations while maintaining cleanliness and a safe, respectful environment for customers and associates.

Qualifications

• Retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.
• Process all corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain store cleanliness and restock bathrooms, floors, and trash.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
• Manage freight flow according to productivity standards.
• Order and stock merchandise needs, including frozen & refrigerated items.
• Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective.
• Plan and maintain Clip Strips and Power Panels with sales items.
• Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners.
